Aston University are keen to help build teachers confidence when it comes to STEM related subjects. Our purpose is to remove some of the barriers when it comes to technology and engineering, and have some fun with learning something new! If you’re a teacher and would like to build your own confidence in this area to help with your students, this is the perfect workshop for you!

In this hands-on activity we will introduce you to the basics of microcontroller programming to control electronic components, such as LEDs, buzzer and proximity sensor. We will be using an Arduino board, which is an open source electronics development board that can be used for many activities from controlling lighting to making robots or designing a simple medical device.
